Craven BearCats Players Named Pop Warner All-American Scholars
Since its inception in 1929, the mission of the Pop Warner Little Scholars football program has been to provide young people an opportunity to benefit from participation in team sports in a safe and structured environment. Through this active participation, Pop Warner programs teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that young people will use throughout their lives.
In 2010, the Craven BearCats Association picked up the mantle to continue the Pop Warner football tradition in Craven County with the goal of inspiring youth – regardless of race, creed or national origin – to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness. Pop Warner is the largest youth football association in the country and the only youth football organization that requires its participants to maintain academic standards in order to participate. The organization’s commitment to academics is what separates the program from other youth sports around the world.
After it’s inaugural season, the Craven BearCats are proud to announce the following players named as Pop Warner All-American Scholars:

At every level, we seek to develop well-rounded young men who learn not only the fundamentals of football, but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound character while having a good time.”
